Admission Qualifications  

Bachelor’s degree in any fields from the institutions accredited by the Ministry of Education, Thailand

TOEFL score of at least 550 PBT/213 CBT or IELTS score of at least 6.0 or pass the English Proficiency Examination of AU (A student whose native language is English or who has earned a master’s or bachelor’s degree from an institution where the medium of instruction is English may request for an exemption from the TOEFL / IELTS requirement.)

A score of 500 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or 1000 on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or a passing grade on AU Test

Three Recommendation letters from employers/or lecturers

A student must pass the oral entrance examination set and marked by a panel of three members of the Master of Science Program in Finance and Economics Board.

A student will be granted Conditional Admission if he/she fails to satisfy any of the above requirements and can register for no more than four core courses. The status will be changed to unconditional admission if (1) the student meets all admission requirements afterwards; or (2) the student can maintain a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.00, with no grade below “C’ and not more than one “C” on the first four courses; otherwise, the student status will be terminated.

Entrance Requirements:

1. A completed application form

2. Official transcript of the previous university attended (3 copies)

3. Bachelor’s degree certificate (3 copies)

4. Citizen identification card (3 copies)

5. Residence registration or passport (3 copies)

6. Eight (1 x 1.5-inch size) photographs (photo in gown not essential)

7. Reference letters from former instructors or employers (2 letters)

8. Resume (3 copies)

Admission Criteria

An applicant processing the admission qualifications must pass the oral entrance examination set and marked by a panel of three members of the MSFE Program Board. The purpose is to test the student’s general knowledge on finance and economics. The panel also evaluates the aptitude for graduate study of the applicant. For applicants without prior knowledge in finance, mathematics, economics, and financial accounting, admission will be considered only after they have taken and passed all business foundation courses required and specified by the Program Director.

- Selection Procedure:

A student must pass the oral entrance examination set and marked by a panel of three members of the Master of Science Program in Financial and economics Board.

- Educational Management System 

Each academic year consists of two semesters. The teaching and learning process of each semester takes 15 weeks.

Theoretical course: 15 hours of lecture/discussion carries the value of 1 credit.

Thesis and Independent Study: 42 hours of research effort constitutes 1 credit. 

- Duration of Study

Students must complete all the requirements for the degree within 6 academic years from the first date of enrollment.

- Registration

To maintain a full-time status, the student must register for at least 9 credits per semester. However, no student can register for more than 12 credits in any semester.
